Long term leak causes water damage to Shady Side home

Homeowners and builders are adding basement bars, television and movie rooms to homes in record numbers.  These spaces add square footage as well as a luxury elements to homes.  This basement recreation room has a bar with a sink and small refrigerator. Our homeowner's kids had moved on to college leaving the space unused on a regular basis.  Upon checking the basement they were greeted with sopping wet carpet. It was found that a leak from the wet sink had gone unnoticed for a long time, allowing mold to grow under the bar and carpet.  Once crews dry out the area they will begin mold remediation efforts.
